Lynches River County Park

A nice park with amenities. Good for a day or weekend in summer. Nice walking/ bike trails. They have a nice nature center with lots of hands on for the kids. River access and canoe/kayak rentals. ($100 deposit). They have a camp ground and archery range (bring your own stuff). A playground with shelters, grills and a rentable large event building. They have a seasonal splash pad and playground for the little ones and a climbing wall opening up this year. They have 2 tiny house style cabins for rent that provide all the dishes, cooking utensils and towels you will need. Just bring food clothes and a little bedding for the loft beds. The cabins do need some TLC but they are homey. They are fair priced but do have a $200 deposit returned at the end. The cabin is pretty secluded. Just to note the property across the river they shoot targets on the weekend at least. Just to note so no one gets surprised if you are a late sleeper or not use to the country. You will also hear gun shots from other neighboring properties at random. But there are free art galleries downtown and places good places to eat downtown about 10 mins away.

It's so beautiful here love love love it. Update for my bday in May 22 my husband rented us a cabin to stay the weekend in so I could do all the fishing I wanted to. Even though the river was very low and we didn't catch but a car and a soft shell turtle I still needed this vacation and do plan on returning even if it's only for fishing

We've been to this park a few times now. We always enjoy it. Nice boardwalk down by the river that takes you through the woods. 2 decent size walking trails. You can rent cabins. There is also a water park for kids. The nature center is really neat. They have life snakes, turtles and an alligator. There is also a treetop rope course bridge you can walk across.

Nice place .Cannot wait for the Equestrian park to open! We live in pamplico and are so pleased we will have a place to horse camp in Florence county in the fall and winter months. Excited to know if all the horse campsites will all have water and power @ the site? I see that the old camp ground did not have water & power @ all the sites .. Def need power and water on sites with horses. Can't wait to see the horse corrals and all the trails so excited.

The splash pad is cool 10/10 but can we bring back the pool and hot tub like back in the day? I’m a 1998 baby. I grew up with my parents and family bringing me to the pool. Great vibes it was like a movie! How about bring the pool back and off to the side a splash pad? So we all can enjoy! I get so emotional seeing how things change as the years go by. I read a article it said they closed the pool because a splash pad would be easier to maintain not needing lifeguards which is understandable but I’m sure many who’s in that field will love to come guard at lynches river please keep this in mind for 2024 when you guys open back up.

I love this place... We go camping, fishing , hiking, and picnics. They have a river walk and a trail... They have the EDC building for walking through amd learning about nature and the animals around you.. They have snakes , alligators, & Turtles inside... They have a cypress tree bridge that was very fun crossing... It's really high up in the trees... There's no cost for this... So it's free family fun...you can appreciate. You can learn so much there... We find ourselves there several times a year... Camping you must make reservations. They have log cabins or you can bring your tents... Don't forget the marshmallows lol. Last but not least... They have a nice splash pad... For the kids to cool off in... It cost $3 to enter and that's for the whole day! They also have a concession stand to purchase food... No outside food permitted in the splash pad UNLESS your having a private party and reserve the splash pad...
